    SUMMARY:

           

    Provides administrative support to the Food & Beverage (Director and Executive Chef) to achieve optimum service and satisfaction throughout the management division of Food & Beverage.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Provides excellent customer service at all times.

    • Composes and types correspondence, reports and miscellaneous paperwork; prepares outgoing mail; routes incoming mail files correspondence and other departmental records and reports.

    • Assists with training & development in regards to the (POS) Point of Sales for the Food & Beverage Department.

    • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality within the department.

    • Interfaces with all levels of Casino staff to provide general departmental information as necessary.

    •       Responds to guest complaints and/or inquiries promptly and courteously, referring to the appropriate individual(s) as needed.

    •      Tracks guest letters and calls, preparing related reports, and responding as required.

    •      Investigates errors in billing; working with the Finance department to correct paperwork.

    •      Advises Team Members of meetings and attends meetings as required to record, prepare, and distribute approved minutes.

    •       Answers telephone and gives information to callers, or routes call to appropriate individual; takes detailed messages, as needed; places outgoing calls.

    •       Greets visitors, as certain nature of business, and escorts visitors to appropriate office or individual.

    •       Acts as a resource regarding departmental activities and operations for the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef.

    •       Maintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible.

    •       Organizes and maintains an effective filing system for the Food & Beverage Director, Executive Chef, as needed as well as keeps attendance records, payroll notifications and assists in replacing open Team Member positions. Assists Team Member's with scheduling concerns including days off, vacations, special time starts etc.

    •       Responsible for preparing daily and weekly staffing schedules, while trying to accommodate requests.

    •       Maintains and submits to finance, accurate records of Team Members hours worked.

    •       Completes new hire paperwork and communicates with the Human Resource Department in regards to F & B Team Member's Leaves of Absences, promotions, pay raises, and terminations etc.

    •       Maintains neat, orderly and complete F & B Team Member files ensuring accurate records of disciplinary actions.

    •       Ensures to a high degree the thoroughness and accuracy of departmental records and reports.

    • Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.

    • Performs any reasonable request made by management.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

                    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or (GED) required.  Minimum of two years strong administration experience, with typing speed of at least fifty words per minute required.

                    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must possess excellent communication skills, and be computer-literate, with proficiency in appropriate software. Must possess excellent Excel / Access software knowledge with a proficiency in Microsoft office software.

                    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

                    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

                    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
