  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for performing all general maintenance and repair functions within approved guidelines and as directed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

    • Interacts effectively with guests and other Team Members.

    •          Performs excellent customer service at all time.

    •             Performs all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Casino complex  as directed by immediate supervisor.

    •             Conducts preventive maintenance on all equipment, as assigned.

    •             Maintains pool and spa as well as equipment through the training and guidance of certified pool operator.

    •             Supports other Maintenance Engineers, as needed.

    •             Ensures adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures.

    •             Operates company vehicles, as required.

    •             Performs any reasonable request made by management.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required..

                    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma GED preferred but not required. Must have at least one year of related work experience in mechanics, maintenance, or construction.  Experience  in multiple trades such as dry wall, wall coverings, floor tile, carpet, wood flooring, finish woodwork, door installation painting, and touch-up painting preferred.

                  SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.  Must be able to read blueprints.  Must be able to work in high places or confined spaces.

                    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure and technical manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.

                    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  

                    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.  The Team Member occasionally works in high places or confined spaces, and in outside weather conditions with exposure to humid, hot and cold temperatures.  

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor or mechanical rooms, the noise level increases to loud.  The Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment when on the casino floor.
