    SUMMARY:

    Responsible for developing and maintaining reliable sources of qualified applicants and recruiting plans to fill existing and future job openings; partnering with hiring leaders to screen, evaluate, and select qualified candidates; and facilitating proactive on-boarding- to ensure successful placement of candidates

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Performs searches for qualified candidates using internal job postings, social media channels, job fairs, internet recruiting resources, recruiting firms, and Team Member referrals.

    • Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with hiring managers to stay up-to-date with current and future hiring needs and plans.

    • Maintains extensive knowledge of CGRC's policies, procedures, applicable governing laws, and industry best practices pertaining to recruiting.

    • Develops and partners with department leaders to implement CGRC's interviewing and hiring practices.

    • Develops successful relationships and partnerships with community organizations to be aware of and able to participate in local career events.

    • Partners with marketing team to develop effective advertising campaigns to promote employment opportunities with CGRC.

    • Identifies and coordinates new platforms for candidate sourcing and position announcements.

    • Processes personnel requisitions and posts open position announcements internally and externally..

    • Interviews applicants to assess and determine suitability for employment. Provides advice, counsel, and feedback to hiring managers about candidates under consideration. Extends job offers as requested.

    • Coordinates new hire pre-employment screening (drug testing, licensing) from offer through new hire orientation. Coordinates interview schedules and travel arrangements, as necessary.

    • Prepares statistical reports on recruiting efforts and accomplishments. Maintains accurate and current records and files for recruiting.

    • May assist &/or provide temporary coverage to other specialty areas in HR (training, benefits, team relations, or administration).

    • Partners with hiring managers to develop position requirements, interview questions, and interview test protocols for each position.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE OR HR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Bachelor's degree in human resources, career counseling, or related field preferred. Must have at least 2 years experience supervisory, managerial, career assessment, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience providing the relevant knowledge and experience may be exchanged for the degree/certification requirement.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH (BOTH ORAL AND WRITTEN) REQUIRED. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels while being sensitive to CGRC's needs, Team Member goodwill, and CGRC's public image. Must have considerable skill in talent assessment and interviewing techniques .Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must possess a valid California Driver's License. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to listen and to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and the ability to successfully communicate information and ideas in one on one , team and group presentations.Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write and prepare reports and correspondence.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a assortment of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. The Team Member may be exposed to a smoke-filled environment when on the casino floor.
