    With more than 200 geomatics professional and technical staff, McKim & Creed is one of the largest, most comprehensive geospatial, survey and mapping firms in the US.

     

    Our staff includes professional/registered land surveyors licensed to work in more than 20 states, 60+ field crews, more than 65 survey technicians, 5 ASPRS-certified photogrammetrists and 30+ FAA Part 107 UAS operators. Our crews are based in offices as far south as Florida, as far north as Pennsylvania and as far west as Texas, and travel throughout the United States to respond to our clients’ surveying and mapping needs. Our Geomatics services include Land Surveying, Mobile and Airborne LiDAR, UAS, SUE, Hydrography and GIS.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

     

    McKim and Creed has always been an early adopter of technology. Like a good mechanic or carpenter, we always look for the best tool for the job. We saw UAS as a tremendous tool for many of the services we perform and have been significantly investing in this technology for the past five years. We have built a successful UAS service line with 25 systems and 30+ UAS Certified Operators.

     

    We now have an exceptional opportunity for a UAS Program Manager to help us build upon our current success to make the McKim & Creed UAS Program the premier UAS program in the US Professional Services space.  The successful candidate will have the UAS project experience and technical knowledge as well as, drive and leadership capabilities to:

    • create and execute a comprehensive strategic plan and the business tactics to support successful growth and financial goals,
    • develop and direct a larger team of remote personnel,
    • make a difference on day- one.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Aviation-related, Engineering field or 5 years relevant applicable experience.
    • Understanding UAS mapping operations.
    • At least 5 years of operational, training or exercise support experience with focus in the electric utility industry, military, federal or state government agency support.
    • At least 5 years operating, maintaining, managing or supporting complex UAS /aerial operations or other closely related airborne data acquisitions or mapping operations.
    • FAA Part 107
    • Knowledge of:
      • UAS flight control software.
      • applicable FAA regulations and guidance pertaining to the operation of UAS in the national airspace system.
      • FAA’s CoA reporting process and of operations requirements under Section 333 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012.
      • Geospatial Mapping/Visualization programs and tools and Survey control/coordinate systems, RTK and PPK operation.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • FAA Private Pilot License
    • Experience in building or managing a large team of remote personnel.
    • At least 5 years of operational experience in executing LiDAR and Photogrammetric mapping products and programs
    • Experience in creation of complex Geospatial 3D solutions/data and visualization to support analytics and operations including distributed / cloud-based delivery systems.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

    • This position requires extensive travel often with short advanced notification.
    • Physical requirements include frequent sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and standing. Occasionally requires reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 55 pounds.

  • Qualifications
    • Address and adapt to on job situations that require immediate resolution and implement process.
    • Minimum typing speed of 30 WMP and ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge.
    • Perform routine reports and correspondence on assignment provided. Improvement analysis reports to complete project assignments given by OST-Lead / Manager.
    • Ability to lift 70 lbs and operate industrial related equipment as needed.
    • Enforce company’s Standard Operating Procedures and policies
    • Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations
    • Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulation
    • Coordinate and communicate associated project assignment to achieve target tasks
    • Perform hands on training to improve efficiency/effectiveness for all import/export cargo functions
