A day in the life of a Maintenance Chuzer:
Each shift will consist of but is not limited to; minor and major repair of all fitness equipment and miscellaneous facility equipment, preventative maintenance, responding to emergency requests, maintaining records of scheduled procedures, ordering miscellaneous parts and replacements, completing monthly checklists on fitness equipment and maintenance procedures, ordering parts as needed, and some member assistance and interactions at the front desk and gym floor. This position may require working evenings and weekends in emergency situations.
Recommendation for Maximum Success:
High school graduate
Prior customer service experience
Familiar with CMMS software (preferred)
Basic knowledge in areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry (preferred)
Basic knowledge of Matrix, Life Fitness, Precor, and Freemotion gym equipment (preferred)
Essential physical requirements
General assistance to Operations: walking and climbing stairs
Standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
Repetitive telephone work
Typing and computer operations
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Driving a company or personal vehicle: outside appointments or traveling to another Chuze Fitness location
