We are seeking a new addition to our amazing internal team who can fill the role of Digital Marketing Manager to help lead digital & social media strategies across all channels. As we continue to grow, this new role will have the amazing opportunity to build their team from the ground up.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Digital Marketing Manager is a unique online/offline hybrid role. You will find and use digital insights to positively impact our members in the real world. Primary responsibility is working closely with our digital & social media agencies to engage current and new members through organic & paid strategies, social analytics as well as SEO. You will own email and direct marketing, new club launch support, overall digital and social strategy and hyperlocal activations. This individual should have accelerated knowledge of usage across social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, and whatever is the next big thing. Owning and evolving the platforms from an on-brand perspective will be expected.
Core Duties/Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Leading the digital marketing push to create consistency and standardization across our business to develop a strong brand that resonates within the communities where we operate
Develop, maintain & monitor social brand voice to be leveraged across channels
Ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks while making each piece of content endemic to the platform
Act as primary community manager (Twitter & IG) to uphold member experience excellence
Work directly with agencies to enhance all aspects of our digital presence (website, SEO, PPC)
Continually evolve our mobile app, how it improves the lives of our members & own the 3rd party app relationship
Work closely with Brand Marketing Manager to ensure grand openings and local campaigns are consistent with brand strategy and leverage best practices
Develop engaging direct & email marketing campaigns using 3rd party vendors
Build meaningful relationships with fitness and operations departments to support all online / offline activations
Develop online / offline local store marketing strategy in collaboration with operations teams
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in business, advertising/marketing, journalism or new media)
4+ years of marketing / agency / or business development experience, preferred
Must have working knowledge of key social media sites including, and not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
Experience using CRM and other marketing automation tools
Unquenchable curiosity and passion for community building
A connector with a passion for building partnerships and relationships
Experience building local marketing strategies online a plus
A passion for connecting with millennials and Gen Z
Deep understanding of digital / social advertising platforms
Knack for discovering trends and understanding the cultural impact they have on consumers
Superior written and verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
Knowledge of online tracking and monitoring tools and ability to search and find key content within social media
A sense of humor and ability to work in fast-paced environment
A team player who can be accountable, flexible and drive for results attitude
