    Assistant Construction Project Manager

    Primary Objectives

    Assist Project Manager with daily tasks in construction and facility management

    Work with Project Managers, Superintendent, and team to understand scope of work, schedule, project instructions and responsibilities

    Build communication, accountability, and infrastructure to support all Construction Team Members

    Lead, assist, organize, and find efficiencies to perfect current and future processes

    Regular Work Activities

    Assist in large maintenance and facility projects

    Read plans, process RFI’s (request for Information), review and process submittals

    Maintain, organize all logs associated with change orders, RFI, submittals, etc.

    Interact with General Contractor to make certain we have received proper documentation

    Assist in evaluation and solution of potential field problems, referring them to project manager

    Assist in plan and spec analysis in order to provide clear, documented, and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction

    Receives, sorts, files, and retrieves forms, correspondences, and documents

    Follow up with responsible parties to obtain/coordinate project information

    Ability to obtain quotes from vendors and some material ordering

    Assist in a few club openings and remodels each year

    Assist with receiving, tracking, and tagging project materials

    Composes, formats, and organizes detailed meeting minutes and associated logs for weekly construction meetings

    Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices

    May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

    Key Skills

    Strong architectural document understanding/application and construction verbiage

    Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast paced environment

    Understanding of code compliance/ADA compliance and pertinent government agencies

    Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Read and understand construction documents

    Meets deadlines in a high-pressure environment

    Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work load

    Capacity to handle interruptions regularly

    Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges

    Ability to take initiative, follow through, and utilize a keen attention to detail

    Strong organizational, record keeping, and follow-up skills

    Good judgement, logic, and ability to learn things quickly

    Build and maintain solid work relationships

    Demonstrates ability to solve conflicts through diplomatic means

    For maximum success

    Bachelor's degree preferred; work experience may be considered

    2-4 years of prior construction experience

    Work References/ Project list

    Proficient computer skills in Windows Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

    Knowledge of software such as Bluebeam and PlanGrid (preferred)

    Compensation
