    Job Description

    The Assistant District Manager (ADM) supports the district by mentoring, coaching, and training managers. They are a resource for the district, as well as provide field level support when needed. Additionally, the ADM supports and demonstrates clear communication, accountability, and the example setting across the District. They maintain communication with the District Manager (DM) and work in tandem to ensure District success. The scope of the work requires top performance in the 3 C's, inventory and labor management, recruiting, and training and development. An Assistant District Manager also represents as an extension of HR in the field with a passion for people and their well being.

    Lead by example in customer service, cleanliness, and culture

    Build trusting, long-term relationships with their club level managers

    Provide support, guidance, and leadership development to unit level managers

    Manage/lead **** unit level managers to exceptional professionalism and job performance during day to day operations

    Develop unit level managers’ leadership skills, including hiring, training, motivating, scheduling and employee coaching

    Enforce facility rules and regulations’ with members ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and operating to company standards

    ● Support, manage, and lead unit level managers to acceptable professionalism and job performance during the day-to-day operations. Assist in accountability of Supervisors and Team Members when appropriate.
    ● Assist the DM with oversight of employee training and development, with an emphasis on progression through training belts at proper cadence.

    ● Train club Managers on daily tasks such as 3 C's, inventory and labor management, recruiting, employee training and development.

    ● Maintain accountability with club Managers in the District through clear expectations and communication.
    ● Establish key priorities for the District and ideal time allocation with District Manager; updated quarterly
    ● Maintain positive demeanor and energetic vibes consistently.
    ● Lead, influence, and encourage employees to accomplish assigned tasks as well as motivate them to go above and beyond in their customer service, attitude, and approach. ● In tandem with the DM, manage unit level managers’ payroll and HR, including approving timecards and rate changes, in accordance with company policy
    ● Help unit level managers scheduling, such as scheduling as efficiently as possible while still delivering the highest level of member experience possible.
    ● Act as club GM, as needed, to support the district when a manager is on PTO/LOA or as intermediary support while a club is waiting to be assigned a new manager.Assist with recruiting new leaders and staff that will be assets to the current team, sometimes owning the entire recruiting process.
    ● Support DM with club reviews and performance reviews for unit level managers, including writing, scheduling, and conducting reviews.
    ● Set, maintain, and continue to improve Chuze standards in customer service. Be the person to negotiate and resolve conflicts escalated by General Managers while coaching and training them through these scenarios as needed.
    ● Maintain productive & proactive cross-departmental communication with Fitness, Maintenance, Kids Club, & Home Office departments.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ● High school graduate or GED

    ● 1-3 years if Management or equivalent leadership experience

    ● Bachelor’s degree or currently continuing education preferred

    ● Experience in business & hospitality industries a plus

    ● A passion for Fitness & Wellness

    ● Exceptional verbal, written and social communication skills

    ● Excellent ability to consistently provide an energetic vibe and positive, service-minded attitude

    ● Calm under pressure

    ● Concerned with doing things the RIGHT way (not the quickest way) and to the Chuze standard

    ● Extreme attention to detail

    ● Exceptional and effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    ● Touring the club: walking and climbing stairs
    ● Bending, kneeling, and repetitive arm movement
    ● Standing for long periods
    ● Repetitive phone work
    ● Typing and computer operations
    ● Ability to lift at least 30lbs
