    Senior Financial Analyst

    The Position:

    The Senior Financial Analyst is a new position that will be responsible for assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis.

    Core Duties/Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

    Manage financial plans and forecasts for all areas of the business. Provide visibility to performance vs. expectation and support management in identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

    Deliver on-going reporting, analytics and insight on performance metrics to benchmark progress against targets, initiatives and strategies. Drive meaningful action to optimize results.

    Analyze data from a variety of sources to derive insights into strategies and marketing trends by leveraging both quantitative and qualitative methods.

    Assist in the annual budgeting process and drive monthly forecasts that identify variances to plan along with risks and opportunities.

    Contribute to creating a new KPI reporting package, updating content as detected through examination of trends and potential drivers and identifying additional relevant statistical measurements.

    Partner effectively within the business to drive performance in excess of management expectations.

    Assess margins and performance to gain a complete picture of operating and pricing strategies.

    Proactively engage and build strong relationships to act as an internal consultant and stay connected on strategies and initiatives.

    Assume a key role in improving and automating reporting. Collaborate with the team to enhance data and metrics.

    Enhance/automate finance processes and challenge existing assumptions and methodologies.

    Create what-if business models to analyze potential outcomes from strategic decisions.

    Develop and maintain tools that can be used to quickly respond to key questions and changes.

    Assist accounting team during monthly close process. Maintain a strong control environment while helping the business to be nimble and efficient in decision making and execution.

    Partner effectively within the team to support business initiatives and internal information requirements.

    Drive continuous improvement and seek to optimize efficiency and customer value in all financial processes and business support functions.

    Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    BS or BA in Finance, Accounting or other analytical field

    3-5 years of progressive financial experience

    Strong systems skills – advanced knowledge of Excel required, familiarity with BI reporting tools a plus

    Strong competence in developing financial models for a multi-unit business

    Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner

    Excellent skills with data analytics with the ability to draw concise insights from large sets of data

    Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking but also just loves to figure stuff out

    Proven track record as a successful business partner

    Ability to effectively balance detail orientation while maintaining accuracy and developing sound recommendations

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions

    Ability to work independently on assignments of various levels of complexity

    Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results

    High degree of integrity

    Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to have fun and bring a sense of humor to work
