    Job Description

    Cimarron is seeking an experienced Crew Display End-to-End TEST ENGINEER to perform Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) on flight software for Boeing's Crew Space Transportation (CST)-100 Starliner spacecraft in Houston, TX. THIS POSITION IS SUPPORTING A 6-MONTH CONTRACT THAT HAS THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION.

    Key Duties

    • Create and execute test procedures for the Commercial Crew Transportation System Crew Display System to verify end-to-end data integrity of commands and system parameters.
    • Verify given defined work package of crew display elements, including:
      • Research and document data relations between source and end-item through spacecraft software components.
      • Define test design and conduct peer reviews with stakeholders on design adequacy and completeness, including a test design document with all accepted findings incorporated.
      • Author test procedure in accordance with an agreed-upon test design, including validation on the target platform and peer review package with the test design document, test procedure, and as-run of completed procedure on the target platform.
      • Conduct peer reviews with stakeholders of complete test package with as-run results, incorporating accepted findings.
      • Support Test Readiness Review and conduct formal testing.
      • Produce final as-run test package and generate test report.
      • Develop test procedures and test reports as deliverables to customers, as required.

    Required Skills, Experience, and Education

    • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
    • Experience with software Formal Qualification Testing (FQT).
    • C++, Perl, Python, XML, and/or real-time programming experience.
    • Experience with 1553, 422, and ethernet bus communication environments.
    • Familiarity with software development and/or testing.
    • Experience interpreting formal requirement specifications.
    • Ability to support different shifts.
    • Bachelor's degree.

    Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

    • 3 or more years of related work experience.
    • Aerospace experience.
    • Experience with formal software and/or hardware verification/validation testing.
    • Experience working with DOD STD 2167 or equivalent specification standards for Formal Testing.
    • Knowledge of test automation, simulation software, and simulation environments.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.
    • Strength in working in a team environment.
    • NASA experience.
