Our clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. In this role, your primary responsibilities are to prepare patients for their exams by verifying their medical histories, recording their vital signs, performing blood draws, and conducting non-invasive screening tests. You will also prep exam rooms for patients by ensuring they are clean and properly stocked with supplies. Administrative duties may include updating electronic health records, scheduling appointments and processing referrals.

Certified Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams or treatments
• Take and record vital signs
• Update electronic health records
• Perform non-invasive screening tests
• Assist with other medical procedures, such as injections or blood draws
• Prepare exam rooms, ensuring proper inventory of supplies
• Assist with administrative tasks if necessary, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing faxes
• Call in prescriptions
• Process referrals and prior authorizations
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
• CPR/BLS certification
• Medical office experience a plus
• Attention to detail
• Interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
