CINQ AI is a business unit of CINQ Care Inc. tasked with improving patient outcomes through the use of Artificial Intelligence. CINQ AI operates a portfolio of AI solutions which are uniquely engineered to serve Black and Brown patient populations. Our core capability is an event-based cognitive service capable of optimizing patient care pathways and member engagement to promote specific behaviors from patients, providers and caretakers that result in higher quality care.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The Data Scientist, Special Projects will directly support the senior leadership team by creating MVP prototypes of new data assets, models and applications before they are moved into production. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of knowledge without specific specialization, will be motivated by variety of the work and eager to learn new skills successfully deliver the project. Although they will work independently, they will be supported by the Software Development and AI Engineering teams.
This position will have the following responsibilities:
- Data Engineering: Synthesis of data from internal systems, 3rd party resources, APIs and web scraping to create analytical datasets for algorithm development, statistical modelling, visualization and analysis.
- Machine Learning: Development of human interpretable models to enrich person level datasets though classification and regression. Implementation of fairness frameworks to examine, report, and mitigate discrimination and bias.
- Data Visualization: Creation of self-serve analytics tools using to democratize access to the analytical datasets and corresponding models as they are developed. Development may occur using SaaS platform or though the development of high-level web applications.
- Data Analysis: Insight generation from project outputs. Presentation to stakeholders and fielding questions relating to data, models, outputs and self-serve analytics tools.
- Documentation: Creation of data dictionaries, code repositories and other artifacts needed to transition prototypes into development by engineering teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Data Scientist, Special Projects should have the following qualifications:
- EDUCATION. Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field including Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Social Science.
- EXPERIENCE. 2-3 years’ experience in relevant technical domain (Statistics, Econometrics, Predictive Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence). Experience in management consulting or new company environments is highly attractive. Prior experience in healthcare is not required.
- ENTREPRENEURIAL. CINQ seeks to fix gaps that have persisted for generations in the delivery of care to Black and Brown populations. This position is accountable for ensuring CINQ is positioned to innovatively deliver on its promise through the use of artificial intelligence.
- COMMUNICATION. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate and present complex concepts models in an accessible manner to CINQ’s team, investors, partners and other stakeholders.
- TECHNICAL Mid-level proficiency in multiple data related domains including Database Management, Machine Learning (Regression, Classification, Time Series, NLP), Data Visualization (Tableau), their associated languages (SQL, R, Python, SAS &c.) and familiarity with the environments where they are deployed (Google Cloud, AWS &c.).
- RELATIONSHIPS. Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents.
- CULTURE. Excellent judgement, impeccable ethics, and a strong team player; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding and entrepreneurial Company.
LOCATION
CINQ Care Inc. has offices in Washington, D.C. and New York City. The preferred location for this role is in the Washington, D.C / Maryland / Virginia area.
