Junior Software Developer - Chicago, IL

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Entry Level Software Developer to design, develop, and install proprietary software solutions and business applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate with a Computer Science (or related) degree. As an integral member of an aggressive and nimble company, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenges in programming, networking, technology, data science, and overall logistics. Your initial responsibilities will include the development and improvement of our growing queue of critical applications that add significant value to Circle’s bottom line.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the analytics team and business leaders to expand, enhance, and improve workflow and efficiency of other departments

Analyze complex technical issues and create solutions proactively

Help proactively identify new automation tools/process/approaches and continuously find ways to improve the overall testing strategy

Design and implement reliable and efficient software used for sales research and strategy

Provide technical expertise to support and troubleshoot production environments in real time

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preference given to Computer Science, Engineering, Gaming, and STEM majors)

Exposure to one of the following Object-Oriented Programming Languages: Java, Javascript, C , CSS, .NET, C#

Solid foundational knowledge of SQL

Knowledge of database and network technologies a plus

Familiarity with Matlab, R, or Python a plus

Natural problem solvers who are driven, self-motivated, and “outside of the box” thinkers

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
