    Temporarily Remote Overview:

    The Logistics Terminal Managers are responsible for the development of all Managers/Supervisors and the associated team members that fall within their functional area. This includes acting as an interface between Managers and all departments at the Corporate Office (I.T., H.R., Accounting, Legal and other support departments). Logistics Terminal Managers report to Directors and/or VP level executives.

    Responsibilities:

    Overseeing all administrative, operational and sales functions.

    Managing operations to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded.

    Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.

    Maintaining responsibility of their associated team and providing monthly performance updates to upper management.

    Developing new business and achieving financial goals, with guidance from the leadership team.

    Direct involvement with the executive team and strategic planning.

    Work in harmony with all corporate executives in providing problem solving and growth planning designed to increase the value of the entire organization.

    May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Job Qualifications:

    Experience/Education:

    4+ years of experience in logistics/transportation with focus on business development and P/L management required.

    2+ years of experience with progressive professional growth required.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/relevant professional qualification required.

    2 years of experience freight brokering/dispatching required.

    Account management experience preferred.

    Transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations preferred.

    Book of business (truck base or customer base) preferred.

    Skills/Aptitude:

    Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a positive attitude towards employees and customers.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Knowledge of electronic transportation platforms and software.

    Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.

    Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

    Ability to lead and coordinate the management team on how to operate the business.

    Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

    Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

    Strong work ethic and dependability.

    Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.

    Ability to set expectations and hold employees accountable.

    Work remote temporarily due to COVID-19.
