    Job Description

    Circle the City Overview:

    Circle the City (CTC) is a nonprofit community health organization with a mission to “create and deliver innovative healthcare solutions that compassionately address the needs of men, women and children facing homelessness.” CTC’s system of homeless-specialty healthcare is one-of-a-kind in Arizona and is one of few similar models in the nation. Nearly 10,000 men, women and children experiencing varying degrees of homelessness will receive care in one of CTC’s many sites located throughout the greater Phoenix area

     

    Job Summary:

    The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues.

     

    What you will be doing:

    • Recruits, hires, trains and supervises highly skilled individuals to support the claim billing process.
    • Monitors accounts receivable activity.
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with health plans to ensure efficient and effective problem solving and issue resolution.
    • Analyze and manage payer denials and develop strategies to minimize denials and write-offs.
    • Evaluates effectiveness of billing and collection processes and work flow.
    • Recommends and implements changes to revenue procedures as appropriate.
    • Maintains ongoing collaboration with the Arizona Alliance billing group.
    • Oversees the provider and site credentialing with payers.
    • Develops innovative methods for increasing staff productivity, quality and effectiveness of revenue cycle management.
    • Maintains regular communication with the company’s EHR platform representative regarding revenue cycle and claims processing functions.
    • Support the training of the front desk staff as it relates to the revenue cycle.
    • Communicates regularly with providers relating to ongoing coding changes and provides training as needed.
    • Monitors and prepares the AHCCCS reconciliation on a regular basis.
    • Performs other duties as required.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    What you should have:

    • Thorough knowledge of the healthcare billing environment.
    • Experience with the unique billing aspects relating to FQHCs.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Highly proficient in computer systems including EHR, Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks.

     

    Preferred:

    • Experience in the FQHC healthcare billing cycle.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business field.
    • Experience with Athenahealth EHR
