    Job Description

    AS A PEOPLE PARTNER, TECHNOLOGY you will partner with our engineering leadership teams to develop and align our People strategy to our engineering priorities and lead initiatives that foster growth and organizational effectiveness within CircleCI. You will drive the full spectrum of People strategy for our engineering organizations, including workforce planning, organizational design and effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, leadership coaching and managerial capability building. Your experience in startups and large companies will be applied daily to guide engineering executives and managers on how to scale their organizations effectively. You will understand industry best practices and be excited about working in a fast-paced software technology environment. This is an excellent role for a multi-faceted, hands-on People Partner with operational and program experience to work in concert with recruiting, operations, compensation and finance teams to effectively drive engineering growth through thoughtful HR programs. The People Partner, Technology will report into the Director of Employee Engagement, who oversees People Partnership, DEIB and L&D. 

    ABOUT PEOPLE TEAM AT CIRCLECI The People Team is responsible for employee experience and compliance along the employee life cycle. This includes the first touch in recruiting with candidates, extending offer letters, onboarding new employees, employee's first day, employee and manager work infrastructure, development, assessment, reward and recognition, down to last day work before off-boarding. The value we provide is delivering core HR services across this life cycle with quality, consistency, security - delivered with empathy. Our responsibilities include thoughtful policy and procedure development and maintaining the systems and processes that enable great experience and meet compliance standards.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Solve complex organizational challenges using people-related solutions, and create the people strategy that will support our engineering teams.
    • Partner with our executive engineering leaders to create a comprehensive people plan, using expertise in workforce planning, organizational design, capability development, change management, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and learning and development.
    • Be a partner and trusted advisor to leaders and managers, and play a critical role in enhancing leadership effectiveness and people manager capabilities.
    • Act as an advisor and coach on a variety of employee relations topics such as performance management, conflict resolution, career planning, and learning and development.
    • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data in order to inform key business and talent decisions.
    • Collaborate with other People Team functions (compensation, recruiting, operations, learning & development) to inform the design and implementation of People programs.
    • Act as a culture ambassador, fostering diversity and inclusion.
    • Mentor and coach other members of our People teams.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in HR or related discipline preferred
    • 8+ years as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner supporting Software Engineering teams with teams greater than 100 employees.
    • Experience driving key people programs and processes (performance management cycles, calibration facilitation, compensation planning, executive coaching, employee relations/conflict resolution, organizational design, etc.)
    • Experience with change management and comfortable operating in an environment that is innovative, fast-paced, growth-oriented, results-driven
    • Experience using both qualitative and quantitative data to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, tell a story and inform innovative ways to building programs
    • Problem management expert, able to effectively diagnose problems quickly and work in a group setting to guide towards solutions. 
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
    • Ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a complex set of stakeholders to drive organizational change
    • Crisp, clear communication skills
