    RESPONSIBILITIES AGENT RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prospecting for new business through networking, event marketing, and cold calling  
    • Set appointments and meet with current and potential prospects to discuss their needs to educate them on what product best suits their needs
    • Complete insurance applications and submit to various markets for quotes on both new and renewing business
    • Maintain minimum sales quota
    • Follow cases until policies issued from insurer
    • Attend social events when applicable
    • Assist with various administrative duties
    • Assist with other duties as needed
    • Assist clients with all commercial lines insurance-related transactions by phone and in-person
    • Develop a rapport with customers by selling additional products
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills
    • Providing excellent customer service by accurately, efficiently, and timely resolution of client requests
    • Conducting need-based policy reviews and updating coverage as needed
    • Generating accurate quotes at high volumes
    • Work well in a team environment and cultivate relationships with others
    • Demonstrate a genuine passion for doing the right thing as it relates to the insured’s needs and policies
    • Maintain proper time management and follow-up
    • Maintain accurate documentation in agency systemes

    REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

     

    • California Property & Casualty Insurance License
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
    • Ability to prioritize projects
    • Ability to organize large amounts of documents according to established procedure
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Ability to work proficiently at a computer for an extended period of time
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to travel to and from appointments in agency vehicle or personal vehicle.  Mileage is reimbursed at IRS rate for any use of personal vehicle during company time
    • Ability to work independently and with others in a team setting

    SALARY RANGE:         $48,000- $80,000 PER YEAR
