The Compliance Officer will be responsible to develop a program to ensure that the bank complies with laws and regulations thereby reducing the potential for costly litigation. They will facilitate planning ahead for changes in both the industry and regulatory matters allowing better customer service. Establish and maintain an effective compliance program that is appropriate for the size and complexity of the bank's business practices and objectives. Maintains proficient knowledge of and complies with internal bank polices and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations. Will make presentations to the Board of Directors on compliance updates and changes. Responsible for communicating and training employees on new compliance updates and changes.
Required Skills
At a minimum an associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, or three years related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in MS Office and possess organizational skills. Must possess stellar written and interpersonal communications skills.
