Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and telemetry data, identifying cardiac rhythms and abnormalities.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings, incorporating telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical interventions as needed.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and monitor patient responses closely.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, promptly identifying and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms or patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about telemetry monitoring, cardiac conditions, and self-care strategies to promote cardiac health and prevent complications.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families during stressful periods, such as cardiac events or procedures.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
• Stay updated on advances in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing practice through continuing education and professional development activities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Capable of performing tasks that require fine motor skills and visual acuity.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emotional demands of patient care.

Who You Are:**

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med-surg/telemetry, critical care, or your specialty you are applying for preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
