  • Responsibilities

    Stetson Law is seeking an Associate Director for Career and Professional Development.  Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Career and Professional Development, this individual will lead, develop, and facilitate broad and impactful initiatives that affect student professional development, student employment, and graduate employment.  They will generate original programs, materials, tools, processes, and practices that lead to solid and productive employer, student, graduate, faculty, and other community connections and relationships.  While coaching students and graduates to help them achieve individual career success, they will also actively expand and build employer interest in students and graduates as prospective employees and gather insight into required and desired professional and career competencies.  Ensures that employer needs and graduate offerings connect. 

    Required Skills

    B.A./B.S. degree required; Juris Doctor or Master's degree preferred.  Broad knowledge of the legal profession with 5 years combined or mixed experience in law practice and career and professional development or recruitment, preferably in a legal setting.  Must have knowledge of a variety of employment settings, including law firms, social justice organizations, government, corporate and other markets.  MS Office including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

    Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to student services are necessary, as are advanced writing and oral communication skills.  Must be highly collaborative and possess proven ability to work as part of a high functioning, high performance team.  Willingness to work outside of regular office hours, travel frequently, and work on weekends is also required.
