    The Cloud Solutions Architect’s role is to strategically design and implement the organization’s enterprise cloud migration, including hybrid model in the Azure ecosystem. The Cloud Architect is responsible to drive the design and delivery of world-class cloud solutions in order to have a scalable platform with both on premise environment and migration towards a cloud state. Provide expertise on cloud infrastructure services, DevOps and 3rd party API integration onto Azure. This includes taking a lead role in the cloud architecture and engineering practice and leading the IT BAU team and work with CSRM. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable rapid adoption of new cloud services and drive transformation to the business and IT processes for efficiency and optimize OpEx costs. Relies on experience and independent judgement to plan and accomplish goals directly related to Bank administration matters.

     

    STRATEGY & PLANNING

     

    • Define the Cloud Architecture for both hybrid and non-hybrid cloud solution and cultivate long-term strategic goals for the migration strategy in conjunction with data power users, department managers, Transformation Office, and other key stakeholders.
    • Be the go-to person for Cloud Architecture. Should have a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex solutions.
    • Plan and implement capacity and resource expansion to ensure data processing & capacity scalability.
    • Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets.

     

    ACQUISITION & DEPLOYMENT

     

    • Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security, SDLC protocols and compliance controls. Conduct research and make recommendations on best in class products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts in the cloud ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules. Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner by adhering to corporate standards.
    • Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives; technically guide projects through to completion. Ensure deliverable s are completed within target time frames and are consistently of high quality

     

    OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT

     

    • Design and manage cloud hosts repositories improvement and growth projects.
    • Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to ALM processes and tools. Develop and own KPIs to ensure performance is measured against expected business outcomes.
    • Ability to lead and be deeply involved in the hands-on delivery of Azure projects and system interfaces via out-of-box and custom integrations.
    • Co-Lead in the establishment on an automated DevOps release management pipeline which delivers tooling for next generation application development efforts (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops). Cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery mind set.
    • Monitor system details within the data platform, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
    • Perform cost estimates for data migration between development, test, and production systems, and plan and coordinate these migrations.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data systems.
    • Mentor and/or provide leadership to junior members of the team.
    • Serve as team lead for Transformation projects or support the IT BAU of system implementations or planning, scheduling, and/or coordinating the activities of various parties involved in the implementation effort.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

     

    • Bachelor's in Information Services, Computer Science, or equivalent.
    • MICROSOFT AZURE PROFICIENCY (REQUIRED)
    • AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH AZURE CLOUD: SERVICES SUCH AS AZURE VIRTUAL NETWORKS, AZURE Network Security Groups, Azure Backup and Site Recovery, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory tools for monitoring and logging etc.
    • 3-5 years of Release Management Coordination/Engineer experience managing builds through development, QA, UAT through to production.
    • 3-5 YEARS OF ADVANCED EXPERIENCE WITH AWS SERVICES SUCH AS COMPUTE (EC2, LAMDA, ECS), STORAGE (S3, EBS), IDENTITY (CLOUD DIRECTORY, DIRECTORY SERVICE), DATABASE (AURORA, RDS), SECURITY (GUARDDUTY), NETWORKING (VPC, CLOUDFRONT), AND MANAGEMENT TOOLS (CLOUDWATCH, CLOUDFORMATION, CLOUDTRAIL)
    • Experience implementing data ecosystems with high data volume, high throughput, and various content structures.
    • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
    • Must understand the Scrum Agile methodology and have worked on a Scrum team.
    • Direct, hands-on experience with DevOps and release management tools
    • Familiarity with Docker containers, working experience a plus
    • Familiarity with Micro Services architecture, working experience a plus
    • Experience with continuous integration tools, such as VSTS, Bamboo, Jenkins, Microsoft TFS, TeamCity, etc.
    • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
    • Experience with packaging programs like MSI, rpm, or other.
    • Knowledge of SQL, and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
    • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
    • Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
    • Familiarity with in-house & cloud data-intensive applications.
    • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
    • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
