Overview: The Finance Clerk is responsible for various administrative tasks and will provide administrative support to Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record Keeping, and any other aspect of the Finance Department as determined by the Finance Director. General duties include verifying data, keeping financial records, reconciling records, entering data into established systems, preparing and uploading support documentation, and delivering high-quality customer service. The Finance Clerk will fill a critical role of support to the Finance team at large. The individual in this position must have a keen eye for detail, strong math and organizational skills, and the ability to function as part of a team. They must be trustworthy, adaptable to change, and have excellent communication. The main goal of the Finance Clerk will be to ensure accounting procedures run smoothly. The person in this position will work primarily from home or an approved remote location, with regular appointments to pick up and/or deposit checks and manage other on-site Finance business.Required Competencies
Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, financial processes, and regulations
Excellent sense of discretion and respect for confidentiality
Proven success and enjoyment working independently and as a participating and supportive team member
Excellent attention to detail
Confident and efficient skills in MS 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn payroll software, Expensify, and similar computer applications
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining creativity and strategic thinking and continuing to meet or exceed goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Reliability and strong intrinsic motivation/work ethic
Experience, proven success, and enjoyment in problem-solving
Experience and enjoyment with prioritizing diverse tasks and ensuring that all are completed well and on time
Experience and enjoyment with providing timely, reliable, responsive assistance to coworkers and supervisors
Exceptional interpersonal, execution, organizational, and time management skills
Strong alignment with and sense of commitment to City Net’s values and culture
Ability to accomplish goals and produce valuable results with minimal supervision
Must be able to pass a background check--at time of hire and throughout employment--in accordance with local laws/regulations.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
High school diploma or equivalent
