Positions Duties The Information Technology Department is seeking multiple Products-Projects Managers who have a deep passion for building amazing civic products that engage the Cityrsquos residents and businesses. The Cityrsquos Products-Projects Managers are leaders in the Cityrsquos efforts to deliver a superior customer experience to residents, businesses, and staffs. The additional team members will manage a portfolio of projects, products, and platforms associated with one or more of the Cityrsquos priorities. Other technical portfolios may be added as required, but they currently include Emergency management technologies. Integrated permitting and development services transformation. Data governance and business analytics. Mobile and wireless communications. Business process improvement and automation. Internet-of-Things platforms and services. Responsibilities include administering platform operations and performance, product releases, vendor management, and feature development projects, as well as integrations and providing direct product support. As the champion for one of the Cityrsquos priority portfolios, the Products-Projects Manager connects residents with services across City departments and teams to maximize value of technology projects and products in providing day-to-day service and exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy Roadmap ndash Manage the lifecycle of products (information systems solutions and platforms) in support of assigned objectives, key results, and partners. Analyze trends, customer requirements, input from a diverse set of stakeholders, and process re-engineering innovation opportunities to establish product vision and strategy. Set product roadmap for uses, features, and integrations. Requirements Management ndash Translate customer requirements into buildable features, coordinate feature decisions, prioritize diverse demand, and integrate into product planning and development. Lend roll-out of new features in coordination with City teams, vendorspartners and testing teams to ensure positive release experience for customers and staffs. Ensure effective release and maintenance of services, including re-engineering processes, monitoring, automation, and communications routing. Operational Support ndash Sustain customer satisfaction through quality customer support, post implementation. Define system configurations. Analyze and resolve product issues. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience A Bachelorrsquos Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, AND four (4) years of progressively responsible professionaljourney level experience, of which at least two (2) years of experience include lead technical work in development, implementation and maintenance of electronic business systemssolutions, or application development andor support. Acceptable Substitution Additional years of increasingly responsible directly related work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis up to two (2) years. Completion of a Master's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of the required two (2) years of experience which include lead technical work in development, implementation and maintenance of electronic business systemssolutions or application development andor support.
