provides hands-on learning opportunities for undergraduate or graduate
students interested in non-profit administration careers. Interns will
support a variety of projects that help City Year carry out our
education mission by assisting in customer service, research, data
collection, event execution, and more. Each intern will be matched with
a specific department. Job Description Additionally, each intern will
assist with general office operations, administrative work, event
support, and data entry. Internships are typically between 10 and 20
hours per week or as otherwise specified during business hours
(9am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday), and can be flexible with a student's
academic calendar and extracurricular commitments. Please note that all
internships are office based and interns do not serve in schools. In

career advice Internship Position Overviews: The below opportunities are
currently available at CYNY. Candidates may express interest in more
than one position, but will be asked to consider only one. * Corps and
Site Operations: Responsibilities include assisting with Corps
Operations, Event and Impact support (Opening Day, Corps Registration
Days, and uniform distribution), and office management strategy. The
intern will support database management, assist with managing Corps
Member files in order to assure the organization maintains compliance
with government entities, support various Corps human resource matters,
and aid in organizational logistics and streamlining office efficiency.
- Recruitment and Admissions: Responsibilities include supporting an
Admissions and Recruitment team with all aspects of the corps member
application process. The intern will manage relationships with
candidates by supporting a customer service program that encourages
timely and consistent communication with prospective and accepted
applicants, supporting various events such as corps member registration
days, potential corps member interview days and recruitment outreach
events when necessary. The intern will also be responsible for
researching City Years top application feeder schools, organizations,
and programs, creating portfolios, and assisting in the development of
campus outreach strategies. * Learning and Development: Responsibilities
include assisting the Learning and Development Manager and Director of
Learning and Instruction with preparing materials and resources for our
incoming FY19 AmeriCorps members and current staff and Senior Corps
members. Tasks will include community outreach to local partners,
organizing and creating and editing facilitation schedules and guides,
developing strategic practices for promoting professional development,
and assisting the team with any facilitation or evaluation needs. *
Evaluation: Responsibilities include supporting our Evaluation team in
spot checking weekly data submissions for accuracy, producing different
types of reports, ensuring data quality, and cleaning & organizing data
for the fiscal year. The person in this role needs to have mid-level
Excel skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work
independently and as part of a team. Through their work, this intern
will gain insight into how a large non-profit organization manages data
processes and outcome data. Qualifications * Hunger to work at a fast
