    JOB SUMMARY

    This role performs duties supporting event rentals and activities in the facility. The position includes assisting the public with inquiries, set-up/take down table arrangements, upholding rules and policies, and cleaning / sanitizing duties.  Learn more about Vesper Hall by clicking here. 

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Set-up/Take Down requested table and chair arrangements, per rental, in the multi-purpose room.  Sanitize tables and chairs as needed before the second setup when back-to-back rentals occur.
    • Clean entire facility following events or facility rentals and reset tables and chairs for the next event. This duty could include mopping floors, sanitizing tables, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, and any other duties needed.
    • Support and oversee clients during event rentals / reserved events at Vesper Hall to ensure client needs are met and rental policies/procedures are followed.
    • Provide facility tours to potential event rental customers providing general information as well as features of the space.  Schedule facility rentals as needed.  
    • Provide referrals to other event space options should Vesper Hall not be a match to client needs.  
    • Keeps rooms in the facility neat, orderly, organized, and free from clutter and trash.   Locks rooms and ensures the facility is fully secured upon closing the building.
    • Follows a documented and regular cleaning schedule including straightening of various rooms in the building.  
    • Ensure that rental equipment (for example linens, sound equipment, televisions) is kept in good condition and prepared for future rental events.
    • Possess an understanding pertaining to the use of electronic items such as DVD players, microphones, and projectors. Demonstrates and provides support to rental clients at the time of their event rental.  
    • Greet the public in a professional manner. Answer phone in a friendly and professional manner as needed.
    • The scheduling for this role is primarily evenings and weekends. Weekends can be fully booked during busy season.

    __EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. A least 1 year of a public-facing role or position that required customer service is preferred. Previous event support is helpful we are happy to provide training to individuals that are hardworking with a great attitude!

    SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Skills in operating electronic items such as DVD player, microphones, and other types of sound systems and equipment.  Knowledge of general cleaning procedures. 

    Ability to communicate effectively and interface with the public. Must be a self-starter and possess the desire and ability to work independently. Must be able to listen to normal conversation; must be able to walk, move chairs/tables, and use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; must be able to reach with hands and arms; must be able to have vision sufficient to see close up and have the ability to adjust focus; and, must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and transport it up to 50 feet.
