Blue Springs Parks and Recreation is looking for mature, confident umpires. Experience in playing or enjoying baseball is important. Training is provided for the right candidates. Umpire experience is NOT required.

The umpire will officiate youth baseball games, ranging from T-ball (5-6 year olds), Machine Pitch (7-8 year olds) or Kid Pitch (9-10 year olds). 

The umpire will talk with each coach before the game and review any rules and maintain standards of play throughout game days.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to problem solve, and control games in a confident and appropriate manner
• Ability to communicate with coaches and parents and work with site supervisors
• Make and sell calls with confidence and knowledge of league rules
• Background or experience in baseball is recommended
• Must be 16 years or older
