We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN/WELDING.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma with vocational program certificate with emphasis in Welding, or closely related field.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: An associate degree is preferred.
THIS IS A PART TIME (20 HOURS PER WEEK), NON-EXEMPT POSITION WITH A MINIMUM HOURLY RATE OF 14.57 PER HOUR.
THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS.
WORKING HOURS: Monday through Thursday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to relate and work with faculty and students individually and in groups; exercise good judgment and communicate effectively both orally and written; have strong organizational skills and ability to work in multi-task environments and maintain positive customer relations. Ability to supervise students in a lab environment; and have welding knowledge and skills. Demonstrate tool functions and safety procedures as well as maintain, repair and handle tools and tool supplies.
