    We are searching for a Part-Time Receptionist to personify excellent customer service!

    The City of Kenmore is seeking a punctual, reliable, and flexible part-time customer service-minded receptionist to create a welcoming atmosphere at City Hall's front counter.

    As the receptionist, you will provide assistance, and screen, direct, and refer callers and visitors to the appropriate service or staff member.

    Your computer knowledge in MS Office (using Outlook, Excel, Word, and other applications) will assist us greatly, as you perform general office support such as filing (electronic and paper), data entry and perform guest services to our customers and elected and appointed staff of the City. Using a multi-line phone system, you will receive telephone callers, walk-in guests, and visitors to City Hall. You will also respond to, or direct incoming emails from external customers and enter requests into our system. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed.

    During the pandemic, your normal work schedule is Thursday AND Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (16-hour work week). You will be on-call Monday through Friday and will also be available to provide back-up coverage for emergencies, sick days, and vacations. This position will be located on-site at City Hall.

    Post-pandemic, or when restrictions are able to safely lift (according to local/State/Federal guidelines), the hours of this position may increase to a 5-day work week, Monday through Friday (up to 25 hours a week).

    Qualifications:

    The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience in an administrative support capacity that includes reception, telephone services, and guest relations. Your two (2) years of experience may be substituted for one year of education.
