Internship Job Description: The Sustainability Planning Intern position is a paid internship with the City of Lakewood Planning Department's Sustainability Division. The selected candidate will support programs and projects that implement the adopted Lakewood Sustainability Plan. The position is funded at $15 per hour for 15 hours per week beginning in June, or when filled, and funded through Dec 2019. The position may be shortened or extended subject to Division needs and available resources. Work hours will be primarily in-office during normal work hours and scheduled subject to the candidate's availability. Specific tasks may include... -Support the development of the Lakewood Sustainability Plan Annual Report: -Data collection, analysis, and management for plan metrics related to water, local food, waste and recycling, natural resources, socio-economics, and public health -Creative communication strategies for collected data, project outcomes, and trends -Report layout and design -Greenhouse gas emission data collection and analysis for City of Lakewood operations -General Division support, including research, event support, and graphic development.
