Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Driver - (seasonal) Grade 11

Position Details:

Wage: $22.75 per hour

Status: Non-Exempt - Seasonal (Temporary FT hours available through late fall)

Department: Waste Water Treatment Facility

** JOB SUMMARY**

This position is assists in the operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant by transporting biosolids and performing preventative and routine maintenance checks.

** MAJOR DUTIES**

• Transports biosolids from plant load-out facility to land application sites by semi-tractor and tanker.
• Monitors instruments and gauges on equipment.
• Operation of floating dredge.
• Maintains records.
• Performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment; changes oil and filters; replaces belts and air filters.
• Cleans plant equipment as needed.

** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills associated with a high school education.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with having had a similar position for one to two years.
• Position of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Dakota for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Including, but not limited to, CDL, Class A with tanker endorsement, or tractor/farming experience

** KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION**

• Knowledge of repair and the maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Knowledge of city and department policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of biosolids and land application practices.
• Skill in the maintenance of files and records
