    First Trinity Academy is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and engaging Civics Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time position will serve students in Grades 3 through 9 and is ideal for an educator with a passion for critical thinking, civic engagement, and constitutional literacy. The teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering age-appropriate lessons that align with our private school standards while preparing students for the Stanford 10 assessments and real-world application.

    Responsibilities:

    Teach Civics to students in Grades 3–9, differentiating instruction to meet developmental needs

    Develop and deliver lessons that emphasize critical thinking, civil discourse, U.S. government structure, historical context, and civic responsibility

    Integrate current events and primary source analysis to promote student engagement

    Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary connections across subjects

    Participate in professional development, school meetings, and student events as required

    Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and parent communication

    Prepare students for school-wide assessments and formative evaluations

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, Education, or a related field required

    Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience preferred

    Strong knowledge of U.S. history, government, and civic processes

    Passion for fostering student inquiry, discussion, and critical analysis

    Excellent communication and classroom management skills

    Willingness to align with the school’s mission, values, and academic approach

    Florida teaching certificate preferred, but not required if other credentials are held
