Civil Preconstruction Estimator- Nashville, TN 

We are currently interviewing select candidates for an experienced Civil Estimator in Nashville to join our client's Precon Department.

As a Preconstruction Estimator for this company- you will help create & approve all competitive cost estimates for upcoming civil construction projects in Nashville. Furthermore, Your expertise in determining accurate pricing for those projects will directly impact the company’s growing in winning work and execute projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to join our team.

Summary of how you will accomplish this:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Maintain working cost data and update estimating templates and tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil construction industry.
• Proven track record of estimating a range of heavy civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities etc).
• Proficient in necessary software is preferred (HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bid2Win, etc).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for Detail is absolutely essential.
