Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural and hydraulic design for water resource infrastructure projects. This role will focus on the analysis, design, and support of structures related to dams, flood control systems, hydroelectric facilities, and stormwater management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural analysis and design of hydraulic structures, including spillways, outlet works, flood walls, canals, pump stations, and storm drainage systems.
• Develop comprehensive construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and bid documentation.
• Lead and perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, analysis, and related engineering calculations.
• Define the scope, technical foundation, and testing protocols for engineering design modifications, including stress, seismic/dynamic, and structural analyses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design and modeling software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WSPG, HydroCalc, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
• Experience in planning, design, and operation support of water/wastewater systems and hydroelectric power generation facilities.
• Proven track record in preparing and submitting civil design documents for permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Experience conducting feasibility studies or assessments for civil infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with governmental water infrastructure standards and permitting processes.
• Previous experience in high-stakes infrastructure environments or utilities, particularly related to renewable energy or flood mitigation projects.
