Civil Engineering/Traffic and Design Position Priorities
As an Engineer at WGZE, you will be essential in assisting in planning and design of roadway, traffic, municipal, and active transportation engineering projects You will participate in the preparation of high-quality studies, reports, analyses, and project plans. You will also contribute to a high-quality team working 2ith local agencies in delivering accurate, and comprehensive design drawings, cost estimates, and other project elements.
Civil Engineering/Traffic Engineering Position Responsibilities and Tasks
Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of traffic impact studies.
Preparation of traffic models via traffic modeling software such as SYNCHRO.
Development of design plans and specifications, cost estimates, and design details for construction documents for roadways, agencies facilities, drainage facilities, traffic signal, signing & striping, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities.
Civil Engineering/Traffic and Design Position Priorities Requirements
This position requires a combination of skills, experience, and education including, but not limited to:
Interest and knowledge of the civil/traffic and transportation field.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Possession of an Engineering In Training Certificate.
Three or more years of experience as a Civil or Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity.
Working knowledge of local agencies design standards, HCM, MUTCD, ADA, and relevant Caltrans design requirements.
Working knowledge of engineering principles and techniques.
Exhibits initiative and the ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple simultaneous projects, if necessary.
General understanding of MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, or similar programs.
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
