With hundreds of successful projects completed over the past two decades, The Group also offers expertise and equipment for turnkey remediation solutions, including: Thermal Remediation (In Situ and Ex Situ), Bioremediation , Closed-loop Groundwater Recirculation, Air Movement Technologies (SVE, MPE, and AS), and Combined Remediation approaches. Position Summary: The Environmental Remediation Group (ERG) is currently seeking a talented, motivated, and highly experienced Senior Field Engineering & Operations Manager (Sr. Field E&O Manager) in thermal remediation and in situ remediation technologies to join our Environmental Remediation Practice team. The Sr. Field E&O Manager position is a critical role in this fast-growing organization. This is a skilled supervisory and management position in the construction, operation, and closure of ERG’s remediation projects, and as a leadership role, reports directly to ERG’s Executive Team, with shared oversight by the Vice President of Field Operations, Engineering/Technical Director as well as ERG’s President. The open position is for a hybrid work location model, and ERG is looking for self-driven applicants with the ability to work from a home office location within the conterminous United States, travel to various project sites throughout the US and internationally as well as our facilities and Sites within in the greater Southern CA area up to 75% of the time. We are seeking an experienced environmental remediation professional with a documented history and expertise in the filed engineering and design, construction, operations, and optimization of complex remediation systems, with subject matter expertise in thermal remediation technology. This position works within both the Engineering and Field Services organizations of ERG, and serves a critical role in bridging the engineering and highly technical aspects of our technologies and projects with real world construction and implementation knowledge and experience that will make our systems work in the dynamic and complex conditions inherent to the real world remediation project implementation. As a Sr. Field E&O Manager at ERG, you’ll be focused on planning, organizing, managing and executing the delivery of environmental remediation projects across the entire project life cycle from early planning and design through project closure. You will be empowered to manage all aspects of the project, with support and direction from the Executive, Operations, and Engineering Teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a team of onsite support personnel and subcontractors. Additionally, you’ll support management of the construction team, project budgets, scheduling, coordination of work, reporting and leading on-site meetings with staff, subcontractors and the client in accordance with the requirements specified in the contract documents. You’ll be the primary point of contact for the client in the field. As a Sr. Field E&O Manager, you’ll have accountability for delivering a construction project within the contracted scope, schedule and budget. Safety will be your priority, as you contribute to “incident free” operations and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety in everything you do. This position is for highly motivated individuals, who work well within dynamic project teams, and have strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate highly technical information to wide ranging audiences, including the general public, teaming partners, clients, regulatory agencies, government officials, and other technical and engineering professionals. Position Responsibilities Remediation Project Management • Field management of multi-disciplinary remediation site construction projects with site and project management responsibility. • Assist with project work plan review and bid/cost estimate preparation, project scheduling, staffing, and work scope. • Ability to collaborate or autonomously develop project specific Plans including, but not limited to, Work plans, O&M plans, H&S Plans, and interim status reports. • Manage (and participate) in site construction, schedule, budget, and quality. • Enforce compliance with all health and safety plans, and company policies and programs. • Maintain knowledge of new regulatory and technical developments related to thermal remediation and advanced in situ remediation technologies. • Supervise and train on-site staff personnel, along with subcontractors during construction and operations of remediation systems.

    Field Engineering & Construction • Review, Interpret, and Manage the field execution of Engineering and Technical Design and Planning Document. • Develop layout and material take-offs from sketches • Ability to set-up, organize and prioritize projects autonomously • Ability to manage fabrication, manufacturing, field construction, and operational budgets and timelines • Ability to manage material and equipment procurement from vendors • Solid hands-on mechanical skills, including piping, pumps, blowers • Advanced electrical and instrumentation skills to build, repair and maintain various process equipment components in the field • Fabricate and/or repair piping components, skids, and custom process equipment • Develop layout and material take-offs from sketches • Ability to set-up, organize and prioritize projects autonomously • Ability to manage fabrication, manufacturing, field construction, and operational budgets and timelines • Ability to manage material and equipment procurement from vendors

    Required Qualifications: Education Required

    Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Strong preference for Environmental, Civil or related Engineering sub-disciplines.

    Licensed Professional Engineer preferred

    Required Experience and Skills:

    Minimum of 20 years of experience in an engineering or management position within the environmental remediation field

    Minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing and managing the field implementation of in situ thermal remediation technologies.

    Highly proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Projects,

    OSHA 40 hours Health and Safety training, 8-hour refresher training,

    Must be able to travel for up to three weeks through out the United States and potentially internationally.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with programmable logic controls (PLC), systems automation, Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems.

    Must pass required pre-employment and annual medical surveillance physical examination for clearance to work on hazardous waste sites

    Ability to periodically perform physical exertions including medium weight lifting, pushing, pulling, stair or ladder climbing, and other construction/maintenance activities for up to 12 hour shifts

    Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practical application of electrical theory.
