Civil Field Technician – FTTH OSP

St. Louis, MO | Contract-to-Hire | Up to $29/hr + Per Diem + Company Truck

Telvero is hiring on behalf of our client for experienced Civil Field Technicians to support FTTH outside plant construction projects in the St. Louis area. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities

Support underground and aerial FTTH construction

Install conduit, vaults, handholes, and fiber infrastructure

Assist with trenching, boring, pull string, and cable placement

Perform fiber and coax testing

Read construction prints, MOPs, and BOMs

Complete daily reports and maintain safe, inspection-ready job sites

Operate construction equipment such as skid steers and bucket trucks

Qualifications

1–3+ years of telecom field construction experience

FTTH or OSP fiber experience preferred

Experience with conduit, vaults, and fiber placement

Valid driver’s license with clean record

Willingness to travel regionally (primarily St. Louis and Kansas City)

Anritsu testing experience a plus

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Compensation

Up to $29/hour based on experience

Company truck and fuel card or vehicle stipend

Paid lodging for overnight travel

$40/day per diem
