A Civil Inspector supporting gas and electric utility infrastructure provides field inspection, documentation, and quality assurance for civil, structural, and geotechnical activities associated with utility projects. This includes oversight of gas and electric transmission and distribution facilities, substations, duct banks, vaults, foundations, and site development. The inspector ensures all work complies with utility standards, engineering specifications, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone to influence the construction and renovations of both facilities and utility infrastructure. The candidate needs to be able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions that are in the best interests of the Client. The preferred candidate will be required to read and interpret engineered drawings, specifications, and details, have adequate computer skills, and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc) We are looking for applicants whose commute would be less than 1 hour one way from Orange and Rockland counties. There is no per diem with this position; therefore, you must live within the preferred commute or be willing to relocate.
