This is an opportunity for a self-directed attorney who is comfortable managing cases, drafting persuasive motions, and working independently in a remote-first structure while remaining closely aligned with firm leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, analytically sharp, and confident in both written and oral advocacy. Responsibilities: Litigation & Motion Practice ****• Draft, review, and file motions, responses, replies, and support briefs. • Conduct legal research and develop strategic legal arguments. • Prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and court filings. • Assist with hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. • Maintain compliance with Texas procedural rules and court deadlines. Legal Strategy & Firm Collaboration • Partner with the Managing Attorney to develop a case strategy. • Identify legal risks, opportunities, and leverage points. • Participate in monthly in-office strategy sessions in Houston. • Contribute to internal discussions on case development and litigation positioning. What Success Looks Like • Motions and pleadings are well-written, strategically sound, and filed on time. • Deadlines are proactively tracked and met without supervision. • Cases move forward efficiently with strong advocacy and attention to detail. • Clients feel confident, informed, and professionally represented. • The Managing Attorney can rely on consistent, high-quality legal work with minimal revision required. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Active Texas law license. • Minimum of two (2) years of legal experience. • Strong motion practice and legal writing experience. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. • Professional judgment and strong attention to detail. Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly
