Cobb Cole, a well-established, multi-attorney firm in Daytona Beach is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Legal Assistant for our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the attorneys with all aspects of civil litigation. This is a full-time position, competitive salary and benefits package offered.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have 5 years experience as a full-time Civil Litigation Legal Assistant
Knowledge of WestLaw a plus
Must have working knowledge of Formal Civil Litigation Process in the State of Florida
Must have knowledge of Local Rules, Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, Florida Statutes and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word), time entry, legal management software
Previous experience in a fast-paced law office preferred
Outstanding interpersonal and telephone skills
Positive, upbeat personality and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to analyze court documents
Must be able to multitask and prioritize in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize a heavy workload
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
