    Site Civil Engineer – Water | Greenville, SC

    Our client, a nationally respected engineering and design consulting firm, is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join their Water Design Center (WDC) in Greenville, South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer with strong experience in site and infrastructure development to lead the design of large-scale, multidisciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects across the Southeast and beyond.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and development of comprehensive site civil plans for new and upgraded water/wastewater treatment facilities

    • Guide a team of designers in preparing detailed plans and specifications, ensuring all project goals and client expectations are met

    • Conduct and review hydrologic and hydraulic calculations used in site layout, grading, and drainage design

    • Develop and optimize yard piping plans using hydraulic modeling tools

    • Coordinate stormwater, grading, and floodplain permitting efforts with local authorities

    • Assist project teams in navigating local development and permitting requirements

    • Recommend construction sequencing and develop operational design criteria for treatment plant infrastructure

    • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering team development and knowledge-sharing

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems/Agricultural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license

    • 5+ years of experience in site civil design, ideally in the water or wastewater sector

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program

    • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) credential

    • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related design tools

    • Experience with lift stations, booster pump stations, pipelines, and other water/wastewater infrastructure

    • Familiarity working with multidisciplinary teams, including process, structural, electrical, mechanical, and I&C engineers

    • Experience with erosion and sediment control planning

    • Active involvement in local or national professional engineering organizations
