This Civil Engineer PE must also guarantee that these projects are secure, productive, and ecological. Responsibilities: • Plan and design various civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems, in compliance with local and state regulations. • Conduct site visits and assessments to identify potential obstacles and develop solutions for proposed projects. • Prepare engineering reports and technical drawings, such as site plans, cross-sections, and maps, using computer-aided design (CAD) software. • Collaborate with other professionals, such as architects, construction managers, and surveyors, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. • Review project plans and specifications, and provide guidance and support to construction crews and contractors during the construction phase. • Ensure that all projects comply with local and state regulations, and obtain necessary permits and approvals. • Conduct quality control tests on materials and oversee testing performed by contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications. • Manage project budgets and timelines, and prepare progress reports for clients and management. • Keep up to date with advances in civil engineering technology and techniques, and incorporate them into project designs and specifications. • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. • Professional Engineering (PE) license in KY or OH or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in Reno or the surrounding areas. • Expert knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including materials science, construction techniques, and structural analysis. • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools. • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Compensation: $62,800 - $107,856 yearly
