We've teamed up with a leading natural resources and industrial company that’s seeking a Lead Civil Structural Designer for a key leadership role in driving design projects from concept through execution. This position will lead a team of designers, establish CAD best practices, and ensure design quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects. Based out of the company’s GNO area office, this is a direct hire position offering a flexible hybrid remote work schedule, along with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, train, and mentor a team of designers
• Establish and maintain CAD standards, best practices, and workflows
• Coordinate design reviews and project CAD setup
• Allocate design resources and assess technical skillsets of new team members
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to align procedures and interfaces
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Educate engineering teams on software tools and design methodologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR Associate’s degree in Drafting & Design or related field
• 5+ years of engineering design experience, including leadership of design teams
• Expertise with industry-standard CAD tools
• Knowledge of efficient plant layout and industrial design practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Strong background in developing and implementing CAD standards
