    Job Description

    AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Technician for our Atlanta office. This person with be located in our Atlanta office as part of the transportation group working on the SigOps East contract. This will be an entry level position responsible for the maintenance of traffic signals in Gwinnett, Dekalb, and Rockdale counties. This position will be on-site. Local travel will be required.

    This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
    • General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
    • Performs routine tasks while working under close supervision.
    • Preventative maintenance of traffic signal systems
    • Trouble shooting traffic signal operations and communications
    • Trouble shooting of CCTV camera systems
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • HS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Construction background needed

    Preferred Requirements

    • Time managements skills
    • Self starter take initiative
    • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
