    The Role

    There is an opportunity to improve the scalability and efficiency of the firm by delegating the investment management of certain accounts. This position will assist the firm's transition onto the new platform. This position requires organization, coordination, and client interaction. The position will also focus on client service and wealth management. The position will have the opportunity to work alongside the advisors in the business to learn the ins and outs of the financial planning business.

    Essential Duties

    Wealth Management Responsibilities:

    • Entering client data into financial planning software programs and spreadsheets
    • Preparing and comparing different financial modeling for clients
    • Aiding in review of financial strategies designed to help clients pursue their long-term goals
    • Communicating with clients and interfacing with professionals inside and outside of the firm
    • Managing client information to ensure that files are complete, organized, and secure
    • Providing support for processing client service needs
    • Researching client-specific issues and communicating conclusions verbally and in writing to the team and/or client
    • Providing a variety of support to Investment Advisors and Financial Planners
    • Managing and assisting in the completion of a variety of non-client, financial planning-related projects such as research on new best practices or relevant laws and regulations

    Investment Management Responsibilities:

    • Partner with advisors in initiative to transition majority of book onto new investment management platform.
    • Assist Advisors with client communications, implementing portfolios, researching specific investment-related issues, and developing specialized analyses for a client's unique investment needs.
    • Responsible for managing client portfolios of individual stocks, mutual funds and bonds. Including account monitoring, rebalancing portfolios, cash management, capital gains mgmt. and reporting, etc.
    • Initiating, processing, and overseeing the opening of new client accounts

    Miscellaneous

    • Participate in Weekly & Monthly Team Meetings
    • Complete and/or assist with projects as assigned by the executive leadership team
    • Cross-train in other support roles

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required; preferred in business or another related organizational field
    • Local to Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate- they are an in-office team!
    • SIE Required
    • Series 6 or Series 7
    • 7+ years of Investment or Financial Service experience
    • Desire to obtain CFP designation.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
    • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Has interest in learning on a continuous basis
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Annual salary of $65,000- $90,000 commensurate with experience and licensing/ designations (higher for CFP holders)
    • Bonus opportunity based on AUM and firm production as well as attainment of both firm and personal non-production goals.
