    Our client is a dynamic boutique wealth management firm in the Richmond, Virginia  area who is looking to add a Financial Associate to provide planning support to the Senior Lead Advisor. The firm's mission is to educate the community with all things financial and empower them to live their best lives. They design a personalized plan and help clients execute it, by safely navigating their financial journey and having meaningful adventures along the way.

    The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, fee-based investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management.

    THESE DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Anticipate personal needs of the Advisor to allow for a seamless flow during the day

    • Manage flow of communication between advisor and team members through use of technology

    • Ensure advisor is prepared for meetings and focused work blocks by providing accountability

    • Maintain an efficient, organized calendar that allows the Advisor to focus his energy on building client relationships. This will include office and some personal engagements

    • Read, monitor and delegate the Advisor's email to team when appropriate

    • Act as liaison between shared services team and advisor

    • Run point on the client experience and build relationships with new and existing clients:

      • Identify areas of opportunity for re-engagement by the advisor
      • Set reviews with existing clients
      • Set meetings with potential new clients
      • Proactive communication with clients throughout all stages of the sales cycle
    • Organize and maintain client and business files

    • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele

    • Cross-train in other support roles

    • Preparing client review materials for review meetings

    • Preparing and modifying financial plans for new and existing clients

    • Preparing and modifying investment proposals for new and existing clients

    • Preparing and processing paperwork needed for fee-based advisory accounts

    • Discussing potential rollover opportunities from other retirement plans

    • Participating in client meetings for financial or investment plan development and presentation

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative work in the  financial planning field
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work with a close-knit team
    • Extremely high attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and
    • meet deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • IT literacy including intermediate skills in Word for Windows and Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions
    • Ability to be flexible and open-minded
