    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Our client is  looking for an entry-level / mid-level investment research analyst to undertake financial research on existing portfolio holdings and prospective investment opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the investment research team.   

    INVESTMENT RESEARCH

    • Perform due diligence on individual stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs
    • Monitor existing portfolio holdings by keeping apprised of all relevant news flow
    • Research and document the investment thesis and risks associated with all existing and prospective portfolio positions
    • Build financial and valuation models on all individual stock holdings
    • Assist in the development of views regarding tactical asset allocation calls
    • Perform macro-economic research on an ad hoc basis Contribute to weekly internal market updates Prepare material for the weekly Investment Committee meeting including generating and analyzing performance reports| Provide synopsis of Investment Committee meetings and maintain ongoing agenda

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • BA or BS degree from a four-year institution
    • Interest and/or experience in investment research
    • Proficient in Excel and financial technology
    • Interest in pursuing, or progress towards obtaining, the CFA designation
    • Securities licensing: Series 7 (obtain within 60 days of start date) and Series 6 or 63 (obtain within 90 days of start date)
    • Insurance licensing: Missouri Life & Health licensed (obtain within 60 day of start date)
    • Ability to work with limited guidance and demonstrate problem solving capabilities
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to articulate the story within the numbers
    • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and professional business setting
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in a team-oriented environment
