    ROLE

    Support the firm's advisory department by working directly with clients on implementing and maintaining an established financial plan and executing on the opportunities and business the lead advisors develop. In some cases, the Associate Financial Advisor may even be tasked with leading a client relationship and identifying client needs themselves. In all cases, a service advisor is expected to help retain existing clients by providing outstanding service. RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate in client meetings as “Chair 2”, providing insight as requested by the lead advisor (aka “Chair 1”), and taking detailed notes
    • Dictate notes into CRM following all client interactions
    • Process CRM notes (e.g. correct spelling errors, etc.) and create CRM activities for all follow-up tasks
    • Send recap emails following client interactions to highlight decisions made (or yet to be made) and outstanding tasks for the firm and/or client
    • Review output built by the Financial Planning Associate (e.g. PX, plan recommendations, etc.) to provide input, catch mistakes, and provide approval; if needed, obtain final approval from lead advisor
    • Follow up with existing clients as needed to implement financial planning recommendations 
    • Working closely with the operations department, oversee and execute initial client on-boarding (e.g. FBP agreement, account opening/funding, rollover calls, etc.) and all corresponding client communication (e.g. regular updates, answering questions, etc.)
    • Coordinate with investment and insurance operations on the execution of any new accounts/policies or servicing of current accounts/policies for existing clients, serve as the primary point of contact for clients on those changes, and communicate regularly as updates are available
    • Identify opportunities for additional services (e.g. fee-based planning, advisory, new assets to manage) and products (e.g. insurance, brokerage, etc.) to offer
    • Manage and execute projects as assigned, providing regular updates to Lead Advisor, Director of Operations, and/or Partners as appropriate
    • Run quarterly (or otherwise) check-in meetings with certain FBP or advisory clients with a focus on execution and implementation of previously delivered financial planning recommendations
    • Maintain familiarity with industry, market, and economic trends as well as the firm's philosophies, and applies that knowledge to client service and relationships

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Series 7 and insurance licensing
    • 3+ years of financial planning experience
    • CFP® designation (or working towards it)
    • Knowledge of financial planning areas including retirement accounts, investments, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and cashflow; willingness, desire, and ability to constantly expand that knowledge
    • Strong ability to communicate financial principles and concepts simply and clearly and to get clients to implement planning recommendations
    • Thoughtful, approachable, respectful, and empathetic; yet also self-confident and a strong leader
    • History of clean compliance record
    • Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially CRM, Word, Outlook, Excel & Adobe Acrobat
    • Excellent communication (verbal and, especially, written) skills
    • Extremely high attention to detail and ability to work with a close-knit team
    • Ability to document work processes, streamline tasks for efficiency, and ensure work is done accurately
    • Work collegially and productively with clients, peers, and other team members
    • Publicly represent the firm's strategic brand

    COMPENSATION

    $100K base salary plus bonus incentives
