    Clara B Ford Academy is hiring a full time School Leader for the 24/25 School Year. Position will start July 1st.

As a member of the CBF staff, you will work with a team-oriented, dedicated staff and supportive administration.

    The mission of Clara B Ford Academy is to engage students with a multifaceted approach offering new beginnings aimed at recovery, change and hope in a safe, trauma informed environment that will enable them to function as contributing adults with twenty-first century skills. Clara B. Ford Academy is a charter school for girls in grades 5-12, located on the historic grounds of Vista Maria, a residential treatment facility in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. We focus on educating the whole child and live the motto of “ Together We Will Treat, Heal, and Educate.”

    Scope of Responsibilitie s

    In partnership with the network leadership team, the principal will promote a positive student and staff culture aligned to Academy's vision and mission.

    The Principal will:

    1. Believe in and promote the vision and mission of the Academy.

    2. Ensure the academic success and emotional welfare of all students.

    3. Develop and promote a positive student and staff culture.

    4. Promote and utilize restorative practices to foster positive relationships within the school

    5. Develop strategic partnerships and programs for school-wide success.

    6. Drive the enrollment and recruitment campaign for the school.

    7. Direct new student enrollment, registration, and scheduling.

    8. Administer district policies concerning academics, discipline, and attendance.

    9. Maintain a clean, safe and inclusive school environment.

    10. Develop and maintain a thriving parent advisory board.

    11. Assist with planning and implementing school programs and events and promote positive public and school-community relations.

    12. Use systems thinking to solve complex problems.

    13. Motivate staff and students to reach ambitious targets.

    14. Maintain a balanced school budget.

    15. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in administration, supervision, curriculum or related areas.
    • Meet the State school administrator’s certification or continuing education requirement.
    • Three years of successful teaching experience or related experience with students.
    • Able to foster a student-centered learning environment.
    • Demonstrate advanced organizational and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
    • Possess a positive work history.
    • Possess a solutions-oriented and innovative attitude.
    • Able to manage multiple, complex projects at one time.
    • Demonstrated success with meeting school enrollment targets.

    Salary: Commensurate with experience.
