    This role is designed for individuals CURRENTLY PURSUING A BACHELOR'S DEGREE who posses an interest in the COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. We are taking applications for the summer of 2023. The Operations Internship is a hands-on learning experience that will have you working directly with the project team on communications, documentation, and unique assignments.

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We have several available job site assignments throughout the state of Michigan. This hands on operations role includes support of the PE, PM, and Superintendent in their duties. You will administer project documentation. You will also have a key role in ensuring the availability of data to PM and Superintendent to support timely completion of projects. This will be done to the client’s full satisfaction and at the Company’s expected levels of safety, environmental standards, and profitability.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    While embracing our core values of Competence, Reliability, Sincerity, and Care, our intern will perform the following job activities:

    · Create and disseminate project files

    · Prepare and administer Submittal Registry and Drawing Log

    · Create Test & Inspection Log, inform contractors, control and update as test and inspections are completed

    · Monitor materials submittals and scheduling tracking log

    · Enter RFIs; ensure prompt return from A/E as needed

    · Enter daily trade hours and produce Monthly Trade-hours report for PM

    · Produce meeting minutes of all project meetings, disseminate documents after review by the PM

    · Log Bulletins and all documents that impact the scope, revenue, and costs for communication trade contractors

    · Administer potential and actual Change Orders

    · Update Punch List per Superintendent’s input on executed items

    · Participate in our comprehensive training program and provide lessons learned to leadership team at the end of your assignment

    · Shadow Superintendent on job sites and learn the skills of building commercial projects
