    Position Overview:

    Claros Technologies is primarily focused on the research, development, scale-up, and commercialization of its PFAS destruction technology. We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative individual to serve in a key leadership role within the organization, responsible for selling our PFAS technology and analytical lab services to customers. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be tasked as a member of the senior management team to lead the business development team through a strategic approach to sales and partnership development. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who can lead high-level strategic planning, develop strong network connections, and coach a team of business development professionals in achieving milestones critical to implementing a strong go-to-market strategy.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provide strategic leadership focused on generating, maintaining, and increasing profitable revenue in key markets; align initiatives for engineering and business development teams around prioritized customer segments.
    • Act as the primary contact with executive and strategic prospects; develop relationships with the key stakeholders such as, but not limited to, corporate customers, industrial engineering firms, industry associations, and government agencies.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, targeting prioritized opportunities in alignment with the go-to-market strategy market intelligence, and the business model.
    • Implement product, channel, and sales execution strategies that integrate customer feedback, as well as economic data and forecasting to deliver on product commercialization plans and targets.
    • Develop relationships across the spectrum of PFAS contamination technologies, ranging from capture and separation to destruction.
    • Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements.
    • Increase market awareness and develop partnership potential by leading key customer meetings, presentations, and trade events.

    ****Competencies & Skills:

    • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to lead in areas such as the management of P&L and the implementation of actionable strategies to drive revenue growth.
    • Ability to leverage existing market and customer research background to deepen understanding of the PFAS industry landscape, technologies, competitors (both PFAS capture and separation companies), users, and manufacturers, as well as key governmental municipalities, and wastewater/water treatment companies.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand complex technologies and effectively articulate those technologies to non-technical audiences as well as technical audiences in varying settings.
    • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and strategic partners to accelerate the commercialization of product lines within key industries.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    • Proven track record of at least 10 years in partnerships, business development, or strategic roles within the industry technology, water treatment, and/or remediation sector Bonus points for experience with persistent pollutants such as PFAS.

    • Proven track record of at least 10 years driving partnerships, business development, or strategic implementation within related industries, including but not limited to, water treatment and/or remediation. Relevant experience with persistent pollutants such as PFAS, a plus.

    • Prior experience successfully negotiating strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or similar collaborations.

    • Prior experience leading a business development or related function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with quickly shifting priorities.

    ******Job Specifications

    • Compensation: $160,000 - $220,000
    • Location: In person at the Claros Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Some ability to work remotely as needed.
    • Travel: May be required periodically for purposes such as client site visits or industry events and conferences.
